Mobil Unveils New Energy Efficiency Logo...
The new energy efficiency logo will help customers identify and select these Mobil Industrial Lubricants to support their efforts to improve energy efficiency and reduce energy costs versus ExxonMobil's standard hydraulic lubricants in given applications.
The new logo will appear first on Mobil DTE 10 Excel, a new category of hydraulic oils that provides outstanding performance benefits but also has energy-efficiency credentials.
Mobil DTE 10 Excel series not only exceeds current standards of hydraulic oil performance but can also help to deliver energy savings versus ExxonMobil's conventional hydraulic oils, leading to improved machinery performance with increased productivity and cost savings.
Energy efficiency relates solely to the fluid performance when compared to ExxonMobil's standard hydraulic fluids. The technology used allows up to six per cent increase in hydraulic pump efficiency compared to Mobil DTE 20 series when tested in standard hydraulic applications.
The energy efficiency claim for this product is based on test results on the use of the fluid conducted in accordance with all applicable industry standards and protocols.

Royal Navy's HMS Dragon Launches
The Royal Navy’s latest addition to the Type 45 destroyer fleet, to be called HMS Dragon, roared its way into the Clyde from BVT’s shipyard at Govan today, complete with an 18 metre long Welsh Dragon attached to its bow. Dragon will join her sister ships as one of the largest and most powerful warships in the world.
As well as providing air defence over a wide area, including for the future aircraft carriers, the Type 45s will be highly versatile and able to conduct a variety of operations. They will be able to carry up to sixty Royal Marines Commandos and their equipment and operate a Chinook sized helicopter from the flight deck.
The Lubricant Company is proud to have worked closely with BVT Surface Fleet, to perfect the basecoat & slipcoat formulation and application that enabled the smooth, perfectly timed launch into the Clyde, without any need for assistance.
