2010 Charity of the Year
We've chosen RNLI (Royal National Lifeboat Insitution) as our Charity of the Year for 2011.
Thanks to the remarkable bravery of the highly skilled crew and lifeguards, The RNLI has saved more than 139,000 lives since its foundation in 1824.
Throughout the year, TLC employees from Shetland down to Heysham will be taking part in individual sponsored events as well as group fundraising days, with the goal of raising money for RNLI.
More about RNLI...
Volunteers are the heart of the RNLI. The charity relies on more than 40,000 volunteers - on lifeboats, at stations, on beaches, and in fundraising. Some crew members and most lifeguards are full time. They work with other staff to ensure comprehensive safety coverage around our islands. The RNLI is a independent charity with a board of volunteer trustees.
Please visit the RNLI website to find out how you can support the charity's vital work.
The Royal National Lifeboat Institution (RNLI) is a charity registered in England and Wales (209603) and Scotland (SC037736).
