Problem
Using a paste, recommended by the parent company to manufacture plastic chucks, Jacobs was experiencing large numbers of warranty claims. In addition a phenol coupling agent in the paste was a Health and Safety concern.
Solution
Mobilith SHC 1000 Special was applied initially to the jaw assembly and then extended to the bevel gear and body mechanism due to excellent performance.
Result
Less grease was needed for the effective lubrication and the quality of the plastic chucks dramatically improved.
