Sun Valley Yazor Road site experienced hydraulic machine failures on the Koppens VM900 forming machines resulting in continuous machine breakdowns and a high level of lost production.
Condition
Food safe technical white oils were being used with limited hydraulic performance.
Solution
Mobil recommended the use of Mobil DTE FM 32 food safe hydraulic oil and together with the Yazor Road engineering staff introduced improvements to the hydraulic filtration system.

Mobil Gargoyle Arctic SHC 224

Mobil Gargoyle Arctic SHC 224 resolves chain lubrication problems and protects brand integrity.
Problem
At the machine design stage, little attention was paid to chain lubrication. Frequent failures and poor low temperature fluidity were leading to poor productivity through the blast freezers.
Condition
The blast freezer tunnels are manufactured by a range of companies (APV, Lewis and Frigoscandia) operating temperatures of -35° to -45° C.
Solution
Mobil engineers recommended Mobil Gargoyle Arctic SHC 224 and helped design a brush and oil bottle application system. The lubricant is H1 approved and as such does not compromise the Birds Eye Walls brand.
Result
The chain life was extended and large savings were achieved in replacement components and reduced downtime.
