Andrew Samuel
Managing Director, The Lubricant Company Limited
Having come from an Oil Industry background, Andrew founded SLS Lubricants Limited in 1998 and created SLS Lubrication Services Limited in 2001. After significant expansion, the SLS group merged with the Lubricant Division of Highland Fuels Ltd and became a subsidiary of Highland Fuels Ltd in January 2004, incorporating as The Lubricant Company Limited.
The Group has since expanded its operation into the North of England and subsequently into Central England via the acquisition of FOS Lubrication Ltd by Highland Fuels Ltd.
Andrew has a Masters in Business Administration (MBA) from the University of Strathclyde, Graduate School of Business.
George G M Shand
Chairman, The Lubricant Company Limited
Managing Director, Highland Fuels Ltd & other Group companies and Director of Flare UK.
George co-founded The Lubricant Company Limited with Andrew to further develop the lubricants side of the Group business. The expansion of the Group into England has enabled George to focus on building the logistics and storage side of the lubricants business.
After joining the Highland Group in 1986 direct from R.G.I.T., George led a successful MBO of Highland Fuels Ltd in 2001.
Gregg Collingham
Divisional Manager, The Lubricant Company (Midlands)
After separating the Lubricant Business from the long-established family fuels business, Fuel Oil Supply Co Ltd, which he subsequently sold, Gregg set up FOS Lubrication Ltd in 2003 to specialise in lubricants. Following acquisition by Highland Fuels Ltd in 2005, Gregg now runs the Midlands Sales Division, based in Nottingham, in parallel to Andrew in the North of England and Scotland. Gregg has a law degree and a management accounting diploma.
Chris Davis
Commercial Director, The Lubricant Company Limited
Chris is a Mechanical Engineer with an MBA from Manchester Business School. Chris has 20 years experience in the lubricants industry, having held various management posts during a 12 year sales career with Mobil, before becoming General Manager of a lubricant manufacturing and marketing business in the Middle East. Chris has also held the positions of Sales Director at Samuel Cookes and Managing Director of County Lubricants Limited.
